Affording a Seabury Education

The Seabury School tuition assistance program is designed to make a Seabury education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Seabury is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Seabury may require you to upload additional tax documentation if needed.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

Fundraising is a necessity for independent schools. Financial support for the Seabury program is derived from tuition, the auction, and an annual fund solicitation. Families are expected to contribute to both the auction and annual fund to the best of their ability. Your expertise, time, and resources are investments in our students. Please get involved in the classroom, on committees, and by attending school events. Only through the active financial commitment of Seabury families and friends can the school sustain its educational excellence.

Much of Seabury’s strength reflects the interest and involvement of parents and extended family members. The annual, mandatory 20 hours of volunteer service per family contributes significantly. A vital sense of "community" impacts the breadth and depth of our entire offering.

Seabury’s middle school program is laptop-based. Students use laptops for class work and research, to keep track of assignments and email using Outlook, as well as for a variety of media and applications in their technology and integrated arts program. Students use Seabury’s wireless system to access the school’s servers and Exchange email server, as well as the world through the internet.

Information about purchasing your child’s laptop will be made available in April. Seabury has built a relationship with our IT provider so that students get the technology they need at the most reasonable price. Once cost information is available for student laptops, Seabury will work with you regarding the purchase.
