Geology Rocks! Summer Camp

Have you ever found a rock and put it in your pocket? Do volcanoes, earthquakes, and the Periodic Table fascinate you? Do you like to wear shirts that say "Gneiss Chert"? Then you are thinking like a geologist! Get ready for some interesting, hands-on, exciting scientific activities including: sorting a variety of cool rocks from a private collection; re-creating the rock cycle using candy; doing detective work using methods of identification like real scientists; discovering the fossil record and the evidence of a supercontinent; cracking open a geode; giving mining a try; learning more about the Periodic Table of Elements; exploding a volcano; building an earthquake-proof structure, and going on a real treasure hunt.
